A search warrant in Victoria in late June led to the seizure of a crossbow, a machete, and seven replica firearms, along with fentanyl and methamphetamine.

As a result, a 30-year-old man is facing 28 breach-related charges and a pair of drug charges.

In late June, VicPD began an investigation into a man suspected of trafficking drugs and firearms in the Victoria area.

On June 28th, Victoria Police and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2500-block of Shelbourne Street.

A search of the home turned up seven replica firearms, a crossbow, a compound bow, a machete, shotgun and rifle ammunition, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and nearly $10,000 in cash.

The cash is believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking.

Probation orders and undertakings prohibited the suspect from possessing weapons and he was also the subject of warrants for previously breaching probation orders.
