One criminal’s wild time is another victim’s expensive ride.

A $20,000 jet ski was stolen from the Victoria Harbour in the early hours of Wednesday, August 11th.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, VicPD were called to the waters near the 200-block of Russell Street.

Officers were able to locate the rightful owner and learned that the jet ski was originally docked at Fisherman’s Wharf.

The rightful owners have since recovered their jet ski.

VicPD are asking the public for help identifying the Caucasian man, who is between 30 and 40-years-old and stands approximately 5 foot 10.

He has a medium build and was wearing all black and a black ball cap at the time of the incident.

VicPD is asking boaters, sailors and others who dock their ocean-going craft in the harbour area, to be aware of ongoing thefts at Victoria harbours.

Last week, VicPD warned the public of marine-related thefts after a 25-foot Zodiac boat was stolen from the Victoria International Marina and recovered near Ladysmith.

If you have any information on the incident call VicPD at (250) 995-7654.
