RCMP and the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) are investigating an incident where a man was found dead inside a Ucluelet business this week.
On Tuesday, October 26th, RCMP received a call from a person stating that they had made several attempts at contacting the man without success.
The caller went to a Peninsula Road business and found him deceased inside.
RCMP and paramedics attended and confirmed his death.
The man’s death is being investigated by VIIMCU as a precaution, police say. They will help to determine the nature of the incident and whether the circumstances of his death are suspicious.
The BC Coroners Service is also conducting a separate investigation into the unexpected death.
