Police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect they say robbed an Esquimalt gas station just after midnight Thursday.
In a media release, VicPD said they were called to a gas station in the 900-block of Craigflower Road just after 12:30 a.m. following the robbery.
Police said the suspect approached the clerk, pulled out a knife and demanded money from the till.
The suspect was given a small amount of cash and fled. Fortunately, there were no injuries during the incident.
The suspect is described as an approximately 55-year-old Caucasian man, standing 6′ tall with a medium build. He was wearing a red checkered shirt, blue jeans and a black toque at the time of the incident.
“Patrol officers with VicPD’s Esquimalt Division are asking for witnesses after an armed robbery at an Esquimalt gas station,” said VicPD in their release.
