Saanich Police are seeking the public’s help in locating 70-year old Jean-Michel Cabanes.
Cabanes was visiting Victoria from Montreal, Quebec. According to his family, he planned to spend some time on the island and possibly do some camping.
Upon arriving, Cabanes rented a Class C motorhome in Saanich. Unfortunately, the specific locations of his travels are unknown.
Although the rental was to be returned by October 26th, Cabanes did not return the motorhome as scheduled nor did he board his flight home a few days later on October 28th.
Cabanes’ family is concerned for his well-being as they say it is out of character for him to not be in regular contact.
He is described as Caucasian, 6’2” tall, 240 pounds, with grey hair.
Cabanes speaks fluent English with a French accent.
The rented motorhome is a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Class C RV with BC licence plate PE384F.
