The BC Ministry of Health reported 338 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, November 16th.
There have been 213,358 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
New cases were reported in these health regions:
- Vancouver Coastal Health: 40
- Fraser Health: 160
- Island Health: 42
- Interior Health: 39
- Northern Health: 57
- Resident outside Canada: 0
There are currently 3,568 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
207,275 people who tested positive have recovered.
There are now a total of 376 people in hospital due to COVID-19, 107 of whom are in critical care — ICU or acute care units.
1 new person has died from COVID-related causes, making the provincial death toll 2,274.
Outbreaks
There has been one new health-care facility outbreak at Ridge Meadows Hospital (Fraser Health).
The outbreak at Swedish Assisted Living Residence (Fraser Health) has been declared over.
There are a total of 23 ongoing health care outbreaks in the province.
There are currently 2 health care outbreaks in the Island Health region: Chartwell Malaspina Care Residence and Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Vaccinations
As of Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, 90.7% of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 86.8% received their second dose.
In addition, 91.1% of all eligible adults in B.C. have received their first dose and 87.4% received their second dose.
To date, 8,452,904 (+11,859) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in BC; 4,023,930 (+2,475) of which are second doses.
