A Nanaimo woman was understandably shocked this week, when she found a naked man in the trunk of her car.
TikTok user @bethanycoker first posted a video relating to the incident on Monday, when she was confused as to how the driver’s seat of her car got covered in mud overnight.
According to Bethany, it looked as if someone had rolled around in mud before getting into her car.
The short video ends with her clearly confused and deep cleaning her seats to remove the mud.

On Wednesday, two days later, Bethany posted another TikTok when she got her answer.
In the video, which has been viewed over 12 million times, the camera is pointed toward the back seats of Bethany’s car, where a hand is visible between them from the trunk.
“Why are you in my trunk and are you naked?” Bethany asks, surprisingly calm.
The man, who is naked, tells Bethany it is a rite of passage.
When she asks how he got in the car he simply replies, “I’m the son of the pope.”

The video ends with a shot outside the car, with the man emerging from the trunk surrounded by Nanaimo RCMP officers.
“Can I put my pants on?” the man asks them.
Their reply?
“We would really appreciate that.”
Bethany believes the man may have been in the trunk of her car since Saturday.
