A trio of alleged bonsai bandits are on the loose and Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers is putting out a call for help in finding them.

The community group shared security photos of the thieves caught in the act, saying they stole the bonsai trees from a garden centre in the 4600-block of West Saanich Road last week.

In an emailed statement to Victoria Buzz, Saanich Police says the theft occurred last Monday, March 21st, at around 1 p.m.

“The trees are valuable,” said Crime Stoppers, “and Saanich Police would like to know who our green-fingered suspects are.”

Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1 (800) 222-8477. Tips can also be submitted online here.
