Police look to identify man who spat on an employee at a James Bay business

VicPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who spat on a store employee during a confrontation back in January.

At approximately noon, on January 20th, officers were called to a business in the 400-block of Simcoe Street after reports of a man spitting on an employee. 

According to reports, the employee was working when he was confronted by a man who was a customer there. Without warning, the man lowered his mask, spat on the employee and left. 

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 60 to 65-years-old, standing approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build and a grey beard. 

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing black framed glasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black shoes. 

The incident continues to remain under investigation.
