Police continue search for missing 41-year-old Central Saanich man

The search for a missing 41-year-old Central Saanich man is heading into its fourth day.

Central Saanich Police issued an alert for a high risk missing Nathaniel Watters late Friday night.

Watters was last seen at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8th in the Keating area of Central Saanich.

Over Saturday, his cell phone was was pinged off a tower early Saturday near Port Renfrew.

Family and friends, along with the the community, have been searching the area since then.

Anyone interested in assisting with the search is asked to check in at the Renfrew firehall anytime after 8 a.m. so that we can have people check in/out to |avoid losing anyone and also to co-ordinate search locations and areas.”

Family members have launched a GoFundme in hopes of raising enough funds to hire a helicopter to aid in the search.

“His last known location is north of Fairy Lake on a Forest Service road in Port Renfrew. There has been a lot of area searched, but with the logging roads it would be best to get a search from above,” the GoFundMe read.

“They are searching for a grey F-150 to best help locate him. They are also looking for searchers to help that have 4×4, dirt bikes, etc.”

He is described as being a white male, standing 5’ 10” tall and weighing about 225 lbs. Watters is believed to be driving a grey, 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck, BC plate PJ7371.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts or if you locate the F150, call 9-1-1 or 250-652-4441.
