

VicPD have announced the situation involving an armed person in crisis in downtown Victoria Sunday evening has been resolved.
At 9:14 p.m. on August 28th, VicPD tweeted they were responding to an armed person in crisis at the intersection of Pandora and Vancouver.
Witnesses reported the individual was in the McDonalds parking lot.
As a result of the active police incident, streets in the surrounding area were closed and traffic was impacted.

At 11:02 p.m., VicPD tweeted the incident was ongoing.

Just before 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, after hours of VicPD working with the person, the situation was resolved without further incident.
VicPD said the person was no longer in crisis, connected them with resources and supports and cleared the scene.
