Two women had hot liquid thrown at them in downtown Victoria on Wednesday

VicPD is investigating two separate incidents in which hot liquid was thrown at two women.

On November 23rd at 4:30 p.m., a woman was sitting at a bus stop along the 1200-block of Douglas Street when she had hot liquid thrown at her legs by an unknown assailant. 

Shortly after, a woman was crossing the street along the 1400-block of Douglas Street when she had a hot beverage thrown at her. 

Police said one of the victims was later sent to the hospital for a medical assessment. 

Police are encouraging witnesses to come forward with any information about either incident between the hours of 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. 

VicPD did not confirm or deny whether or not the two cases may be linked.
