Are you ready to laugh, Victoria?
Hill discovered his comedic talent in his early 20s while attending graduate school. Having previously worked as a nightclub DJ while attending school, he figured he would give a comedy class a try, allowing him to return to the stage in a different capacity.
He tried it. The rest was history.
Last year, Hill performed his ‘Candy and Smiley’ comedy tour to an enthusiastic crowd at Victoria’s own Duke Saloon.
A special, which premiered on Amazon Prime and also streamed on Apple TV, was named one of the “Top 10 Comedy Specials of 2021” by Paste Magazine.
Now, Hill, the first comedian of Taiwanese-Canada descent to release a full one-hour comedy special, is returning to the Duke Saloon to perform an all new show this Friday.
The award-winning comedian’s shows are a carefully crafted balance of both lighthearted jokes and laughs and meaningful reflections on life and the obstacles one overcomes.
In ‘Stupid Ed’, Hill will share a collection of meaningful conversations he has had with the women in his life and what he has learned from those interactions.
“These are those conversations, and I hope they become yours too.”
“Stupid Ed” is a preview of Hills’ new show before he takes it to New York City on Off-Off Broadway in April 2023.
