Capone’s Chicken is reporting a theft of a variety of payment systems (POS) and tablets essential to the operation of the restaurant.
On Tuesday, the owners took to social media to share the disheartening news, “We have had an unfortunate incident happened at our restaurant, someone took our POS system, credit/debit card reader, cash, all of our 5 delivery orders tablets from our location at 749 View Street Victoria, last night.”
Acknowledging the unfortunate reality that the restaurant has only just recently moved into the downtown location, owners expressed empathy with those responsible for the theft, in a plea for them to return the stolen items.
“Whatever has happened is gone, but we would like to request that person, to return our POS system, since it costs a lot to us, may not give you that return, because they all are registered to our business, we will give you a reward of 100$, no questions will be asked and nothing will get reported.”
Anyone with information on the theft or the whereabouts of the stolen POS systems are encouraged to contact the VicPD non-emergency line at (250)-995-7645.
