An apartment fire that occurred in Esquimalt on Monday was contained to the outside of the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, however, thanks to a fast response by Esquimalt Fire Fighters, the blaze was contained to the outside of the building.
Firefighters were dispatched to the structure fire at around 2 p.m. on Craigflower Road.
Responding fire crews located the blaze on the second-floor balcony and the Esquimalt Fire department told Victoria Buzz there was no fire damage beyond the deck.
The unit where the fire started did suffer some smoke and water damage.
CFB Esquimalt Fire Department attended the scene and assisted with clearing smoke from the building.
