Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 43-year-old woman reported missing on Monday.

Shawna Forbes was reported missing to police on April 3rd when a family member found out she had not showed up to pick up a prescription.

Nanaimo RCMP say investigators were told that around March 20th, Forbes did not pick up a prescription which she urgently needs.

Since then, police say no one else has seen or heard from her.

Because of the urgency of the prescription, her family and support network are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Forbes has not had a fixed address for the past several months and has been living at various tent encampments throughout Nanaimo. Patrol officers have attended these locations and shelters but found no success in locating her.

Police describe Forbes as a Caucasian woman, standing 5’6” tall, weighing 130 pounds, with long blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Her family say they believe she may be in the company of Aaron Payne, who is an acquaintance of hers.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Shawna Forbes should call Nanaimo RCMP at (250) 754-2345.
