Someone has a lot of explaining to do!

On May 21st at around 10 a.m., an officer with BC Highway Patrol observed a black and white Ferrari traveling at high speeds on the Trans Canada Highway.

It was traveling in the northbound lanes near Aspen Road on the Malahat and had passed several vehicles, catching the officer’s attention.

The officer noted it as a newer model with Alberta license plates and clocked the traveling speed at 137 km/h within the posted 80 km/h zone.

After pulling over the vehicle, the driver was identified as an Albertan woman in her 20s — though, the vehicle wasn’t her own.

The owner, an Alberta man in his 30s, arrived at the scene to collect the driver and the paperwork detailing the 7 day impoundment for excessive speeding.

The woman was issued a violation ticket under the BC Motor Vehicle Act for excessive speeding.
