Nothing says summer like strawberries!
The annual Saanich Strawberry Festival is happening this Saturday, July 8th at Beaver Lake Park.
There will be a wide array of entertainment options, including face painting, program demonstrations, arts and crafts stations, and bouncy castles. Bring your blankets and enjoy the beach while talented performers take the main stage, providing non-stop entertainment throughout the day.
Of course, no Strawberry Festival would be complete without the classic treat of strawberries and ice cream.
Tickets for strawberries and ice cream will be available for purchase starting at 11 a.m., and they tend to sell out quickly, so be sure to secure yours earlier in the day.
The delicious dessert will be served from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.— tickets usually sell out by 2:30 p.m.!
As the event attracts a large crowd, parking can be challenging. Events organizers recommend utilizing overflow parking in the grass area just off Elk Lake and taking advantage of the convenient Shuttle Bus service running from noon to 4 p.m.
The shuttle will transport guests between Saanich Commonwealth Place and the main parking lot, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Admission to the event is free. The event is cash only and no ATM machine will be available.
