Witnesses sought following hit-and-run crash on Bay Street: VicPD

VicPD are in the search for witnesses and dashcam footage following a hit-and-run crash near downtown Victoria earlier this week.

On Wednesday, May 31st at around 10:30 p.m., two vehicles collided as they were traveling near the 400-block of Bay Street. 

One of the vehicles quickly fled the scene and was last seen traveling northbound in the 2500-block of Bridge Street. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a black SUV or truck with front-end damage and a license plate beginning with “MW.”

The other vehicle remained at the scene and waited for paramedics to arrive. The individual suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are seeking public assistance in finding dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision or of the suspect vehicle.
