A house fire that occurred in Colwood in the early hours of Friday morning is being investigated after West Shore RCMP have deemed it suspicious.
On Friday, July 28th at around 2:48 a.m., Colwood Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire at 2356 Sooke Road and immediately took action to douse the flames.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and determined the house was abandoned, and there were no injuries to report.
Police are looking to identify and speak with an individual that was seen wearing all black and walking in the area around the time of the fire, as they may have information that could help with the investigation.
No suspects have been identified yet.
Police ask anyone who lives in the area, or was driving by at the time, to check your home surveillance and/or vehicle dash camera footage from July 28th between 1 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.
