Parksville Beach Festival and its spectacular sand sculptures will return this weekend

Share

It’s time to get sandy, Vancouver Island!

BeachFest, one of the island’s biggest festivals, is back at Parksville Community Park and Beach on Friday, July 14th.

It’ll be running until August 20th, so there’s no excuses for missing this one!

Check out the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition and the BeachFest events that complement this exciting festival.

Watch the sculptors as they construct their masterpieces around this year’s theme, “Wonders of the World” and browse the completed works already available for viewing.

Better yet, become your own master and take lessons from two professional sculptors on how to create a “proper” sand sculpture using some specific techniques.

All ages are welcome!

There will be weekend concerts, an incredible playground for the kidlets, daily buskers, an artisan market, and a weekend evening light up of the sculptures — adding a magical element to their glory.

Take your kids, your pals, and your pets on a road trip to experience the spectacular lineup of events and entertainment available!
