Police seek help locating missing 36-year-old Nanaimo woman who fled from hospital (UPDATED)

Nanaimo RCMP announced on Wednesday, August 23rd, that 36-year-old Shannon Sette has been located and is now safe.

ORIGINAL:

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance locating a 36-year-old woman who left the hospital before being discharged by medical professionals.

Shannon Sette was last seen at Nanaimo Hospital on Monday, August 21st, and because she fled prior to being discharged, her family is extremely concerned for her well-being. 

Police say Sette has access to a 2008 black 2-door Mitsubishi Eclipse with a BC plate reading, “SG545.”

She had reportedly indicated to family members that she intended on taking a ferry from Nanaimo; however, she did not indicate a date, time or route. 

Nanaimo RCMP say Sette was last seen wearing a black sweater, black and white leggings and glasses. 

Sette is a non-White woman, standing 5’6” tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
