Heads up to motorists travelling around downtown Victoria.
The city has closed down Store Street for the week while a crane is dismantled.
From Pandora Avenue to Swift Street, Store Street will be shut down from Tuesday, August 1st until Friday, August 4th, which will likely cause traffic delays through the Pandora, Store, Johnson and Wharf intersection.

The crane which is being dismantled has been used to help construct the eight-storey Pearl Residences located at 1628 Store Street.
The project itself broke ground in 2019 while the massive crane was erected in September 2021.
The Pearl Residences is nearing its occupancy date and currently has around 95% of its 133 units sold.
Prior to the construction on the lot where the Pearl Residences now stand, there was a parking lot on a slope down towards the water.
