Vegas bound: Comox couple planning family vacation after winning $100K

Share

A Comox couple got lucky and hit it big with a scratch and win ticket! Now, they want to show their kids a good time in Las Vegas.

Jacob Lamarsh reportedly picked up the ticket for Natasha Kristensen as a treat from the Petro Canada on Anderson Road in Comox.

He got her a Jaws scratcher and didn’t think much of it until the pair were back at home relaxing and realized they had won.

“It was late at night and I was watching TV and decided to scan it on my Lotto! App,” Lamarsh recalled.

“I saw we won and I woke everyone up to tell them,” he exclaimed.

Kristensen says after she told her family the great news she just had to tell her colleagues at work.

“There was a lot of screaming and high-fives,” she said.

Although $100,000 isn’t a life changing amount compared to other jackpots that have been won on Vancouver Island, it is still a significant amount of money.

Along with the Vegas trip, Kristensen and Lamarsh plan on bringing their kids along for a big, family shopping spree with the prize money.
