The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV) has announced an exciting new edition to their ‘Art Meets Architecture’ virtual House Tour series beginning on October 1st!
From the comfort of your own home, you can witness five home-owners lead you through their stunning houses—fit with lush gardens, personal collections of art, and interesting architectural style.
The houses will include the ‘1913 Arts & Crafts Eclectic,’ which is full of fascinating collections, ‘Countryside Contemporary’ with an art studio tucked into beautiful gardens and a forest, a strata property perched on a seaside bluff called ‘Curated Gem’, an art-filled ‘Inlet Oasis’ tucked into a cove, and last but not least, the ‘Rural Sanctuary’ that is situated on a unique property between crossroads.
“For lovers of architecture, art, collectibles, as well as home and garden design, the distinctive homes on the 2023 tour are a treat,” said Carol Anne Harper, Chair of the House Tour Committee.
“Each is as unique as their charming owners who have refurbished and styled their homes as well as collected remarkable art with incredible attention, creativity and love.”
Since its first launch in 1953, it has become a popular fundraiser for the AGGV, supporting their acquisitions, programs and operations.
“Now, more than ever, the work of the Gallery Associates to support AGGV exhibitions and educational programs is increasingly important,” Harper said.
“We are incredibly appreciative of the community support for the House Tour and our other fundraising events.”
