RCMP are appealing for assistance from the public in the search for John Young, a 67-year-old man from Prince George.

Young, who may also be known as Dave, was last seen when he made a stop to visit a friend in Logan Lake.

He set out on this journey alone, embarking from his residence in Prince George, with the intention of reaching Duncan. However, the circumstances surrounding his disappearance have raised concerns among family and police.

Young’s last-known location was reported as traveling west on Hwy 97D towards Ashcroft or Merritt. Nevertheless, recent information has come to light, prompting Logan Lake RCMP to consider the possibility that Young may have mistakenly traveled north from Spences Bridge to Clinton and could still be in the Clinton area.

Despite extensive air and ground search efforts, Young and his vehicle have not been located thus far. His family has expressed deep concern for his well-being, as this extended period of no contact is considered out of character for him.

Young is described as a 6’0″ tall, weighs about 190 pounds, has blue eyes and grey/balding hair.

He is believed to be driving a two-tone green 1994 Ford F-250 with BC plates VJ 8406. The truck is recognizable by its black front right fender and a green canopy with black overhead racks.

Any one with information that might aid in locating Young is encouraged to contact the Logan Lake RCMP at 250-523-6222. Those who wish to provide information anonymously can do so by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
