There’s a new maternity and midwifery clinic open in Esquimalt

Share

Great news for the growing families of Esquimalt!

Recognizing the community was facing an ongoing maternity care crisis, Rotation Midwives (RM) and founders, Devi Garner and Emily Baxter decided to take matters into their own hands.

With combined experience and their compassion for new mothers and continuing care, they’re excited to announce the opening of their new maternity clinic in the West Bay neighborhood, Earthside Birth.

Earthside Birth will provide primary maternity care throughout pregnancy, birth, and up to about six weeks postpartum for the birthing parent and their newborn. Additionally, they offer infant feeding support to clients of other providers experiencing feeding challenges.

“It’s has been a whirlwind getting the clinic open,” says founder Devi Garner. “We are delighted with it and hearing great feedback from clients.”

To celebrate and welcome community members, they’re hosting an open-house from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on September 16th.

You’re invited to stop by and ask questions and tour the space. They will also be hosting a silent auction to raise funds for the Nesting Doula Collective, who provide funded birth and postpartum support to BIPOC clients in need.

Both Garner and Baxter will be heavily involved along with their three new midwives set to work alongside them—and they all hope to meet you at their upcoming event!

The event is free, to register click here.
