Victoria’s forecast calls for a rainy week with possible lightning Monday evening

This week got off to a windy and rainy start as autumn feels like it has become the reality Victoria must face once again.

The good news is that the wind warning which called for gusts of up to 90 km/h is over, but things aren’t going to get much prettier in the upcoming forecast. 

Environment Canada predicts showers through until Friday with a 70% chance of rain in the evening of Monday, September 25th. 

The weather authority even predicts the risk of a thunderstorm for Victoria in the early evening. The low will be around 11°C and winds will be getting up to 50 km/h overnight.

Come Tuesday, things are looking a bit better with only a 60% chance of showers, a high of 15°C and a low of 10°C.

Wednesday will be almost exactly the same as Tuesday’s with a final reprieve from the new autumn rain sometime in the afternoon on Thursday. 

According to radar, its northeastern winds which are bringing in these rains off the Pacific Ocean. 

Dress warm and wear layers over the next few days. If you need to upgrade your rain jacket, now would be the time to do so!

By the weekend there will be a mix of sun and clouds with slightly higher temperatures.
