EEK—Friday the 13th!

Horror movie marathon, anyone? Or perhaps a stroll through a haunted corn maze at Galey Farms?

If that’s really not your jam, no problem! We’ve sifted through the wonderous activities that Victoria has to offer and have chosen the most suitable for your Friday fun!

To learn all about it, here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Friday, October 13th:

Black Light Party at Lucky Bar

Lucky Bar is thrilled to present another addition to the DanceTherapy series—the LuckyLight party!

This will be a black light party, so make sure you’re dressed for the occasion to achieve your best glowy self.

To keep you grooving the night away, featured performances from several DJs can be expected as well!

Tickets are $20 at the door.

Hermannator Ice Bock Party

Vancouver Island Brewing is inviting everyone to their seasonal fan favourite party, the Hermannator Ice Bock!

‘Nator Day’ for short, this action packed evening includes a taproom exclusive of vintage Hermannator, live music from Electric Jane, and food from Saltchuck Pie Company—with both sweet and savoury pies, including a Hermannator-infused pie!

If you’re absolutely obsessed with this carefully aged beverage, you can grab yourself a vintage pack and enjoy it for longer!

Friday the 13th at Quadratic Sound

Bop late and into the early morning hours at the Friday the 13th edition at Quadratic Sound!

As described, the Deep West Sound System will be booming with tunes from Tucy, Bri Jemm, Blacasphal, Paisley Eva, and Bogman.

Tickets are $20 at the door for members, and for non-members there will be an additional $5 added to the price.

Classic Rock Party Night at Hermann’s Upstairs

If you’re looking to rock to some classic tunes, this is the place for you!

Tributing iconic musicians and bands from the Stones to Van Halen, the featured Brice Tabish Band is known for great dance parties.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in-person or online.

  • When: Friday, October 13th at 9 p.m. (doors open at 8 p.m.)

Festival of Fear at Galey Farms

In the mood to be absolutely petrified?

Galey Farms’ Festival of Fear has begun and includes the Corn Maze of Horror, Crazy Train, and Haunted House.

Bring a buddy or two because it’s going to get freaky!

General admission tickets are just under $22 and you can purchase them here.

  • When: Friday, October 13th—multiple time slots are available

Bonus Event:

Ceilidh at the Bard 2023

Come on down to the Bard & Banker for a special live music fundraiser event for The Canadian Scottish (Princess Mary’s) Regimental Association!

You’ll get the chance to witness greats like the West Coast Celtic Band “Black Angus”, the Bon Accord Highland Dancers, the organizer’s very own pipes and drums band, and other entertainers.

Funds raised at this event will go towards the purchasing of additional kits and equipment and and their beloved Regimental Mascot Wallace VII to aid in his care and keeping.

They’ll be accepting donations at the door and each participant will have their name entered in to win prizes and there will be two 50/50 draws throughout the evening too!

As a bonus, there will be a $20 beer and burger special happening.
