Tuck yourself into a variety of different creative spaces this Thursday and enjoy the different performances we’ve picked out for you.

We’re excited to present lots of incredible music, music, and more music—but if you’re not really feeling tunes, that’s okay too! There’s an open mic for writers with an audience ready and willing to witness your creative genius.

Here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Thursday, October 5th:

Got Pop? Concerts: Jenn Grant

Canadian and down to earth, Jenn Grant is here to wow crowds for an evening at Wicket Hall!

She’s known blend of pop and folk music to create a powerful and calming listening experience that can be enjoyed anytime and anywhere.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Writers’ Open Mic

Head down to Gigi’s Cafe for an evening of inspiration, creativity, hard-hitting lines, and more at their Open Mic for writers.

If you’re feeling brave, come with your writing and present it to an audience within a 10 minute time-slot.

Everyone is happy to listen to whatever you have—be it poetry, fiction, or nonfiction!

Their kitchen and coffee bar will be open, so you can enjoy some delicious refreshments while you listen!

WIL at Duke Saloon

Head on down to the Duke Saloon for a night of good beer, dancing, and great music!

Described as the combination of a fiery, silver bearded frontman with mad acoustic guitar skills and a super skilled, chilled drummer—WIL is an indie folk band you won’t want to miss.

The organized chaos and addictive energy these performers present is exactly what has made them stand out and capture attention from around the globe.

ABRA Cadabra at Royal Theatre

An immediate crowd favourite, this interactive show has been dubbed ‘the best tribute to ABBA ever’!

Catch ABRA Cadabra at the Royal Theatre this Thursday where a live band, powerful vocals, dancers, multi-media, and costumes wait to enthrall you.

K-Pop Night

Ready for your waiting eyes and ears — K-Pop night is back at Lucky Bar for another evening of favourite songs and videos!

The event will feature Soju Bombs and DJ Rupert Cameron with videos from artists such as BlackPink, Twice, BTS, Girls Generation, 2NE1, Stray Kids, Le Sserafim, Itzy, and many more.

Cover charge is $12 and tickets can be purchased here.
