Here’s why your business should be a part of the magic known as Festival of Trees this year

Share

Yes, believe it or not, the holiday season is just around the corner!

And if your business is looking to light up the season for kids around the province, sponsoring a Christmas tree at this year’s BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Festival at the Bay Centre is a decision that  will align perfectly with your business’s goals and values.

Victoria’s cherished community holiday event is returning November 16th to January 3rd.

The Festival of Trees showcases up to 100 sponsored trees that will be beautifully decorated and displayed at the Bay Centre for the community to vote on and enjoy throughout the holiday season.

The Festival of Trees committee is actively seeking local businesses to join the display and community fundraising event as a tree sponsor.

If you are seeking a fun team building event while displaying your commitment to the community, here are additional reason why your business should be a part of the magical event:

Corporate Social Responsibility

As we continue to be in challenging times globally, consumers are looking more and
more to spend their dollars with companies and organizations that care about the
community.

Show the community your spirit by participating in an event raising funds for
the only hospital in BC dedicated exclusively to caring for sick and injured children.

Brand Recognition

Your business will gain valuable brand recognition by partnering with one of the most
recognized brand in all of British Columbia.

Engage with your customers and employees

Each sponsor will receive a complimentary engagement toolkit designed to help you
utilize your participation in the Festival of Trees to engage with your customers and
employees.

Staff retention

Your team will have the opportunity to come together, share in the holiday spirit,
brainstorm a theme and decorate a tree, all while collaborating to support sick kids in
BC. Team building activities like this aid in staff retention.

Local impact – 13 kids per day

Last year 4,686 kids from Vancouver Island received expert care at BC Children’s
Hospital every year. That’s nearly 13 Island kids every single day who are told they have a condition that can only be treated at BC Children’s Hospital.

That’s 13 life changing conversations that happen locally here on Vancouver Island every single day.

Local media coverage

Each year the Festival of Trees partners with some of the top media outlets in Victoria,
including Victoria Buzz, The Q! 100.3fm, The Zone 91.3, CHEK TV and Used.ca

The sponsorship level you choose, and the amounts of funds you are able to raise, will
determine how much recognition and coverage you receive.

Support cancer research

In BC alone, there are 150 children every year who are diagnosed with cancer. That
means that every two to three days, another family in BC is being told their child has cancer.

No matter where you live in BC, if your child is suspected of having cancer, they will be
referred to BC Children’s Hospital for diagnosis and treatment plan.
Return on your investment

Your business can get all of this, including six weeks of specialized branding at the Bay
Centre, for as little as $1,000 with all proceeds benefiting BC Children’s Hospital
Foundation.

This is an affordable marketing tactic that ensures you get quality return on
your investment.

Businesses have until November 10th to become a part of the annual festivity, and you can register online here.
