Port Hardy RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent robbery at a gas station in the area last month.

The incident occurred in the early hours of October 11th, around 3:13 a.m. when two masked individuals entered a gas station in Port Hardy.

One of the suspects was reportedly carrying a knife during the robbery. The duo fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of cash and cigarettes.

While the gas station employee was fortunately unharmed physically, police say the incident has left them shaken.

“Port Hardy RCMP is working on following up on all leads, and have identified and arrested one of the men,” said Constable Julie Miller Port Hardy RCMP Media Relations Officer.

“We need the public’s help in identifying the second man. If you know something or saw something, we would like to hear from you.”

The unidentified suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 6′ tall. He was wearing a black/white hooded sweatshirt, a mask, and distinctive red gloves during the incident.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident or anyone able to identify the suspect to contact the Port Hardy RCMP at 250-949-6335.
