‘Tis the season for treats, Victoria, and you’re in for several!
Always a sell-out and always a blast, Intrepid Theatre has announced the return of their beloved annual winter cabaret of queer art, HOMO: A Queer Cabaret!
It’s set to return to the Metro Studio this Friday, December 1st at 7:30 p.m.
Prepare to have your mind blown by this campy cabaret, featuring a diverse line-up of queer artists, experimenters, and boundary pushers within fabulous performance pieces and brand new work created just for HOMO.
This year’s show is hosted by Vancouver Drag Royalty, Jaylene Tyme and Peach Cobblah!
Jaylene is a Two-Spirit Indigenous Trans performer, host, and advocate, and is back for her second time at HOMO.
Peach is an acclaimed playwright, community builder, and gave birth to the East Van drag scene, and has hosted too many HOMOs to count.
Dive into your wild side and catch these exceptional performances and works of art presented by stars such as Joey Bulman, Julya Vandersloot, and Regan Shrumm!
General admission tickets are $27 and can be purchased here—this cabaret is always a sell-out, so don’t wait until the last minute to grab your tickets!
In order to make their programming more accessible to audiences, HOMO will once again feature their Pay-What-You-Ten tickets—which means 10% of tickets will be on sale for just $10!
As described, they believe the arts have something to offer everyone and aim to reduce financial barriers to their programming.
Additionally, this year’s show will be ASL interpreted, and free ASL tickets are available for guests!
Also, anyone under the age of 25 are eligible for their free Youth OUTreach tickets for queer youth and allies.
Youth OUTreach is an initiative that provides free tickets to not only the HOMO: A Queer Cabaret show, it will also offer free tickets at their 2024 OUTstages Festival for self-identified LGBTQ youth and allies under 25.
