Central Saanich Police say a woman has been charged with forgery and impersonation after she allegedly applied for a nursing job with fake documents.

Charrybelle Talaue faces charges after using false pretenses to secure employment as a nurse in British Columbia and Alberta.

The BC Prosecution Service has charged her with offenses including failing to comply with an undertaking, forgery, and impersonation of a registered nurse, Yves Anglehart.

The BC College of Nurses and Midwives uncovered Talaue’s alleged use of Anglehart’s identity to seek employment as a nurse.

Talaue is not and has never been registered as a nurse, according to the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

The college issued a public advisory after it learned of an individual posing as a registered nurse in an attempt to secure employment in the province.

Island Health alerted authorities when discrepancies arose in Talaue’s application for a nursing position, leading to an investigation by the Central Saanich Police.

Talaue is suspected of employing numerous aliases, including:

  • Charrybelle Perez Talaue
  • Charrybelle Talaue Baldesancho
  • Belle Talaue, Belle Marie
  • Charrybelle Baldesancho
  • Charie Talaue
  • Yves Anglehart
  • Belle Yves Talaue Anglehart
  • and Charie Talaue

Central Saanich Police say they continue to investigate, with the possibility of further charges.

Police did not release which hospitals or care facilities Talaue worked at.

This incident came after the high profile arrest of Brigitte Cleroux in 2021, a serial imposter who fraudulently posed as a perioperative nurse at BC Women’s Hospital for an entire year.

Cleroux is presently grappling with a total of 17 criminal charges, including accusations of assaulting 10 patients during her tenure at BC Women’s Hospital.

Additionally, she faces charges of impersonation and fraud against a dental surgeon in Surrey, as well as fraud and assault-related charges linked to her employment at a private surgery clinic in the Victoria area.

Individuals with any information or who recognize Talaue from the police-released image are encouraged to contact Central Saanich Police via email at tips@cspolice.ca.
