GoFundMe launched for mother of two who died in single-vehicle crash in Saanich

A GoFundMe has been launched for the McDonald/Kettani family after Corrina McDonald, mother of two and avid community member, tragically passed away in a single-vehicle crash last week.

On the morning of December 6th, Corrina suffered a severe medical event which resulted in the collision between her van and the front porch of a home.

Police declared her deceased at the scene, and the passengers in the vehicle, as well as the occupants of the home, appeared physically unharmed.

According to social media posts, Corrina was transporting her kids to school when the tragic incident occurred.

To assist the family after suffering such an unexpected loss, Rogers Elementary School PAC started the GoFundMe to cover any costs the family might face in the wake of losing Corrina.

“The funds raised will help cover immediate and ongoing expenses, offering some relief during this profoundly difficult time,” the GoFundMe post reads.

“Your contributions, big or small, will make a significant impact on helping this family rebuild their lives.”

Corrina was said to be a cherished member of the school community and a loving mother, and Rogers PAC hopes that this will honour her memory and make this difficult time just a little easier.

A comment from Rogers PAC reads, “From a fellow Rogers Family we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to your family during this difficult time. Christine, Brad, Nathaniel and Vanessa.”

At the time of this publication, donations have surpassed their original goal of $5,000 and has reached just under $7,500—it continues to steadily climb as the community continues to show support.
