Man charged with second-degree murder wanted on a Canada-wide warrant: VicPD

Victoria police are searching for a 41-year-old man charged with second degree murder after breaching conditions of his parole in Victoria. 

VicPD are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jamie Garth Hunt but warn not to approach him.  

Hunt is currently serving a life sentence for second-degree murder dating back to 2007, and his failure to comply with the conditions of his parole have resulted in a Canada-wide warrant being issued for his arrest. 

Hunt is described as standing 5’8” tall with a slim build. He has dark brown hair and distinctive tattoos, including the words “Original Gangster” and flames tattooed prominently on his neck. 

VicPD warned those who see him to exercise caution and not to approach or confront him.

They urge the public to call 911 immediately.
