BC RCMP are urging the public to keep an eye out for Brett Bystrom, a wanted man with multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Bystrom, a 37-year-old Caucasian man, is described as standing at 5’9” tall and weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He is wanted on various charges: five warrants from Port Alberni for possession of counterfeit money, theft, and failure to appear in court; one warrant for fleeing from police in Nanaimo; and three warrants from Comox Valley for theft under $5,000, failure to attend court, and using counterfeit money.
Two additional warrants are from Ucluelet for assaulting a peace officer, resisting a police officer, and using counterfeit money.
North Cowichan/Duncan has issued a warrant for assault, and he is wanted for four warrants from Ladysmith for breaching his release order.
