If you need some extra motivation to get outside on a rainy and cold evening, consider the following events that we’ve found for you.

There’s plenty of fun to be had, including a couple of different trivia hotspots, some incredible films available at IMAX, and more!

If you’ve been trying to keep up that health and wellness New Year’s resolution, there’s a yoga workshop available for signup too.

Small Works Show

It’s not too late to check out Gage Gallery Arts Collective’s current exhibition, the Small Works Show!

It launched on December 5th and runs until January 14th, consisting of a variety of styles and mediums in a format ready to take home for gift giving or enjoying for yourself.

Featured artists include Tanya Bub, Ainsley Dack, Anita Boyd, Anne McCarthy, Arlene Dubo, Barb DeRousie, Beverly Hancock, Carmen Totino, Dallas Segno, Elizabeth Carefoot, and many more!

Catch an IMAX Film

What better way to spend a rainy Tuesday than watching a crazy high-quality movie in an IMAX theatre?

This Tuesday has several incredible films lined up, including Deep Sky playing at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Fungi: The Web of Life at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia playing at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Maude’s Trivia Night

Widely popular and always worth the trip, Maude’s returns for another Tuesday of epic trivia!

Bring your team and get ready to crank out some wild facts, play along to win prizes, and treat yourself to some of Maude’s delicious beer-battered fries and beer on tap.

Trivia starts at 8 p.m. but make sure to come early — especially if you have a larger table, otherwise you’ll have to come back next week!

No fee to play.

Benji’s Trivia at Whistle Buoy

Time to dust off your thinking caps and secure them tight!

Benji’s Trivia Night at Whistle Buoy Brewing is back for another round of mind-benders and stumpers to test the extent of your knowledge.

The link for their tickets will go live here—so, make sure you’re looking out for that as they fill up quickly! Winning team gets a $60 gift card to the brewery.

MĀ Wellness Workshops

With 25 years of experience as a counselor and 16 years as a yoga instructor, Adele creates a safe, nurturing and nourishing space for her yoga wellness workshops and you’re invited!

She will guide you through gentle yoga postures, breath and mindfulness to tackle your everyday struggles with mental health.

The workshop is $135 and runs every Tuesday from January 9th until February 13th.
