We all love to see Victoria shine, and what better way to celebrate the beauty of the city than watching it featured in a travel web series?

Internationally acclaimed travel journalist Samantha Brown is to showcase Greater Victoria in a season 7 episode of Samantha Brown’s Places to Love.

It will be airing on Brown’s website this Sunday, January 21st as well as on Friday, January 26 on PBS!

The show shines a spotlight on many top attractions and unique stories of the people who go above and beyond to create connections with visitors and leave lasting impressions.

While Brown and the production team visited Victoria during the summer, their visit included popular hotspots such as Sunset Sips at the Fairmont Empress, The Butchart Gardens, A tour of Chinatown and The Canadian Chinese Museum, Eagle Wing Tours whale and wildlife watching, and much more.

Additionally, the production team was able to stay at the stunning Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour while they were in town!

Join Brown and retrace her steps through Greater Victoria, and revel in the light she shines on the gems our city is proud to host and support.

Destination Greater Victoria was proud to have her in the city, reminding residents and visitors alike that there is always plenty to see and do—stressing the importance of supporting these local businesses after having to restructure tourism as a result of the COVID pandemic.

“When Destination Greater Victoria (DGV) rebuilt from the financial devastation of COVID-19, we structured our organization differently,” said Paul Nursey, CEO, Destination Greater Victoria.

“The ability to invest in world-leading marketing platforms such as Samantha Brown’s Places to Love is a concrete example of the benefits of this innovative model.”
