Share

On Thursday, January 11th, Nanaimo RCMP sent out two media releases regarding two missing people they are trying to locate.

First, police announced they are seeking 19-year-old Kole May-Cyre who was last seen on December 25th, 2023.

He wasn’t reported missing until Tuesday, January 9th.

“At that time, Kole was houseless and had been staying at emergency shelters in Nanaimo,” said the Nanaimo RCMP in the first missing person media release.

“Investigators are following up on information that he may have made his way to Duncan.”

Investigators say that although they believe May-Cyre was on his way to Duncan, this information has yet to be verified.

May-Cyre is described as a Caucasian man, standing 5’11” tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing dark clothing

The second missing person Nanaimo RCMP are asking for public assistance locating is 30-year-old Tyler Wade.

Wade hasn’t been seen for several months; however, police did not specify when he went missing and was reported as being missing.

“Wade is of no fixed address and is known to frequent emergency shelters throughout Nanaimo,” said Nanaimo RCMP.

“Given the fact that no one has seen him or been able to contact him for several months, there is concern for his safety and well-being.”

Wade is described as a Caucasian man, standing around 5’8” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say it is noteworthy that Wade has a large mass protruding from the right side of his face.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Tyler Wade or Kole May-Cyre should call Nanaimo RCMP at (250) 754-2345.
