Movie buffs and curious watchers alike, you may want to add this to your day-planners!

The organizers of this year’s Victoria Film Festival (VFF), running from February 2nd to 11th, are thrilled to announce that three Oscar nominated films will be screening throughout the duration of the festival.

Every year, the VFF celebrates cinema’s finest—showcasing acclaimed works and offering local audiences a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the big screen.

And as the Oscar buzz begins to swarm, it’s the best time to share the nominated films that are being presented in their lineup—Perfect Days, Robot Dreams, and Four Daughters.

Perfect Days, directed by veteran German filmmaker Wim Wnders, this film will transport audiences to a kinder, simpler world where the little joys in life make a day perfect.

This Japanese-language drama has been nominated in the Best International Feature category, and you can catch it at the Vic Theatre on February 6th at 7:45 p.m. and February 8th at 2:45 p.m.

Robot Dreams is a heartwarming animated film and has earned a nomination for Best Animated Feature. The film explores the touching journey of Dog as he forms an extraordinary bond with his new friend, Robot.

It will be screening at Odeon Victoria on February 2nd at 8:30 p.m. and February 8th at 3 p.m.

Four Daughters is a documentary-hybrid directed by Kaouther Ben Hania and it follows the compelling story of Olfa, a Tunisian mother of four daughters.

Additionally, there are two other Oscar nominated films that are currently screening at The Vic Theatre, separate from VFF—Anatomy of a Fall and Godzilla Minus One.

Anatomy of a Fall is a French drama thriller with five Oscar nominations—including Best Picture, Best Actress for Sandra Hüller and Best Director/Original Screenplay for Justine Triet.

Godzilla Minus One was nominated for the Best Visual Effects!
