Hip, hip, hooray—it’s Friday!

Clear your schedules, Victoria, we’ve got an incredible lineup of events for you to check out and they’re sure to bring joy to your evening.

The Victoria Royals will be hosting their staple annual Pink in the Rink event for cancer, there’s an excellent performance to check out through OUTstages, and a couple music events too.

For all of this and more, here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Friday, February 2nd:

Victoria Royals Pink in the Rink

One of the Victoria Royals’ most highly-anticipated games of the season is happening this Friday!

The Royals will be hosting their annual Pink in the Rink game, one of the most highly attended nights where the community joins together to honour all of those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

This Friday, it will bring together thousands of people over our favourite Canadian pastime, uniting everyone in the battle to beat cancer.

Tickets start at around $8.50 and will vary depending on seat selection. You can grab them online here.

Tight and Bright Party

Hermann’s Upstairs is ready to give you one heck of a night!

Dress in all your neon’s and 80’s workout gear for the vibes—whatever you’ve got, just dress to impress and make it tight and bright.

Juzzy from Bread Gang, an Australian DJ powerhouse, will be headlining and playing sets that incorporate Hip Hop, Top 40, and throwback mixes!

Tickets are either $7 or $13 depending on which room you choose—separated by different vibes and music, so you can tailor your experience.

OUTstages: A Decidedly Queer Theatre Festival

Theatre lovers, drama addicts, and adrenaline cravers, pay attention!

Intrepid Theatre is thrilled to present their 10th annual OUTstages: a decidedly queer theatre festival—it kicked off on January 31st and is running until February 11thth.

This huge 10th-year celebration will bring dazzling queer performances and adventurous programming to Victoria with a 12-day run of eclectic and electric shows by queer artists from both Vancouver Island and other areas of Canada!

One of Fridays incredible lineup of shows will feature the acclaimed trans storyteller, educator, and writer, Ivan Coyote—who will be presenting their world premiere show, Playlist.

The Bankes Brothers at Upstairs

The Bankes Brothers are ready to jump back on stage for their hometown crowd!

Also joining them for a phenomenal night of music and invigorating energy will be Vancouver’s Vox Rea.

The two acts have forged a new musical alliance and are now known to create magic on stage!

Tickets are $21 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

OK, DOPE at The Mint

OK, DOPE is proud to present Entertainment Village for a double feature starring some of the best local talent this Friday at The Mint!

Come down for the guaranteed laughs as you watch Victoria’s premier improv troupe with some of Victoria’s best comedians perform.

This Friday’s show is Improv Comedy and will feature Alex Forman and Aaron Read!
