50-year-old Nanaimo man deemed missing after failing to show for his doctor’s visit

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 50-year-old man after he missed a scheduled medical appointment in early February. 

Police confirm that Wade Haines was in Vernon on January 28th and at that time, he allegedly indicated that he may try to make his way to Manitoba. 

To date, officers cannot confirm this and his current whereabouts are unknown, and as a result, there is “significant concern” for his overall well-being and safety.

Haines is described as a Caucasian man, standing at 6’2” inches, weighing 210 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. 

According to police, the picture provided to the media is recent.
