BC SPCA offering 50% off pet adoption prices in Victoria this week

Share

Get ready to open your hearts and homes to furry friends because the BC SPCA is offering 50% off all adoption fees to help make room for more animals.

This is the perfect opportunity to give an animal a second chance at a forever home and add a little more love to your life.

The half-price adoption event will take place the entire weekend from Thursday, February 22nd through Sunday, March 3rd at all 36 BC SPCA locations.

By adopting an animal, you’re not only providing them with a loving home but also freeing up much-needed space in the animal care facilities for other animals in need.

If you’ve been considering adopting a pet, now is the time to do it! The adoption fees will be half off for all animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, as well as farm animals like goats and horses.

With extended hours and special activities for the public, this weekend is going to be filled with love, cuddles, and furry friends.

“We want to take advantage of this extra day to help find loving homes for all of the incredible animals in our care,” says Adrienne McBride, the BC SPCA’s senior director of Community Animal Centres.

“Have a look at the adoptable animals on our website and if you find one that you think would be a perfect addition to your home and family, set up a meeting by calling the centre where they are located. You will still need to fill out an adoption application and go through the normal screening process, but you can find out quickly if it is a match.”

The goal of the BC SPCA, says McBride, is to provide emergency treatment and a safe, loving environment for animals—either at an SPCA facility or in a foster home—until a new family can be found.
