Here’s where to find the best cherry blossoms in and around Victoria (PHOTOS)

*Sigh*. There’s nothing quite like the promise of springtime, hey, Victoria?

As the weather continues to warm up, Victoria’s beloved collection of cherry blossom and plum blossom trees are reaching their full peak.

Already we’ve seen some early washes of floral colour from our early bloomers and the vibrancy will only continue to grow as we dive deeper into spring.

If you’re looking to find your own special spot, the City of Victoria features an interactive map that lists all of the trees and their blossom dates.

For now, we’ve chosen some of our favourite spots around town to see the blooms.

From February through March, the trees are in full bloom, so don’t wait, get out there and take in this glorious sight.

Typically, you’ll find the darker blossoms blooming throughout February and March, and light pink usually bloom from April to May.

Also, for those that aren’t sure how to tell the difference between a plum blossom and a cherry blossom, the cherry blossoms have a small split at the end of each petal, while the plum blossoms don’t.

Without further ado, here’s a list compiled of our favourite cherry blossom-viewing spots in and around Victoria:
