Nanaimo RCMP searching for two missing people in separate cases (UPDATED)

UPDATED: RCMP have confirmed one of the missing woman have been located safely. Nanaimo RCMP say 21-year-old Kaylea Hope was located shortly after seeking the public’s help in finding her. However, 16-year-old Ava Brown remains missing.

Nanaimo RCMP have issued a call for assistance from the public in locating two individuals who have gone missing in separate cases, raising concerns for their safety and well-being.

In the first instance, police are urgently seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 16-year-old Ava Brown, who has been missing since Saturday, February 17th.

Brown’s disappearance was reported to the Nanaimo RCMP on Wednesday, February 21st. She has not made any contact with her support network since her disappearance, heightening concerns for her welfare.

Described as a Caucasian youth, Brown stands at 5′ 6″  tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

 

In the second case, Nanaimo RCMP said they’re looking for 21-year-old Kaylea Hope, who was last seen on Wednesday, February 21st.

Her disappearance was reported to police the following day.

Hope, who does not have a fixed address, is grappling with significant personal challenges, police said.

Given her circumstances and the absence of any communication with her support network, there are concerns for her safety.

Hope is described as a Caucasian woman, standing 5′ 9″ tall and weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
