Nanaimo search and rescue looking for missing 48-year-old woman: RCMP

Both the Nanaimo RCMP and Nanaimo Search and Rescue (NSAR) are currently searching for a missing 48-year-old woman. 

Nancy Gagne was last seen at around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1st wearing multi-coloured pajamas. 

Based on evidence, police believe she is within the area of Millstone River from Bowen Road, to the Nanaimo Harbour. 

Involved in the search are volunteers from NSAR and RCMP officers, including West Coast Marine Services—NSAR searched until approximately midnight and resumed searching at daybreak.

Gagne is described as a Caucasian woman, standing at 5’7” tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Police confirm that the photo provided is recent.
