Another day, another accolade for Vancouver Island’s stunning landscapes.

While Vancouver Island boasts numerous breathtaking locales, one gem, in particular, is gaining recognition.

According to travel authority Lonely Planet, Chesterman Beach in Tofino has secured the sixth position in its prestigious top 20 list.

The magazine commended Chesterman Beach for its year-round allure, ranging from sun-kissed summer days to enchanting mist-covered mornings in the autumn.

Lonely Planet also lauded the beach for its exceptional surfing conditions, albeit with the recommendation to don a wetsuit for warmth.

“Though renowned for its surfing, it’s the panoramic vistas that truly captivate visitors at Chesterman Beach,” remarked Lonely Planet.

“The shoreline offers abundant opportunities for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and exploration of the vibrant marine life inhabiting the tide pools, including colorful starfish, anemones, urchins, and other sea creatures.”

Lonely Planet meticulously curated a list of the top 100 beaches worldwide, unveiling a condensed selection of the top 20 as chosen by its esteemed editors.

Claiming the coveted title of the world’s best beach is The Pass in New South Wales, Australia.

In their comprehensive review, Lonely Planet revealed that their team embarked on extensive journeys to uncover sublime, surf-battered coastlines and remote paradises for their latest publication, “Best Beaches in the World.”

From Albania to Yemen, and every corner in between, their experts swam, snorkeled, savored cocktails, and trekked through rainforests to compile the ultimate beach guidebook.
