Get ready, Vancouver Island!

Canada’s Got Talent is back, and this time, four acts from Vancouver Island will compete for a chance to win the staggering $1-million prize.

Set to premiere on March 19th at 8 p.m. on Citytv, the highly anticipated show will showcase 116 acts from all corners of Canada, with the island’s representation adding a special flair to the competition.

Among the array of talent, Nanaimo’s dynamic dance duo, Funkanometry, stands ready to impress audiences with their electrifying moves.

The three other acts from Vancouver Island participating in this year’s season of Canada’s Got Talent all hail from Victoria and include comedian Maninder Waraich, musician and singer Holly Melville, and “novelty” comedy performer Brad Gooseberry.

Last season, another central-Island performer, Lantzville’s Raymond Salgado, made it to the finals of Canada’s Got Talent.

Their talents promise to captivate viewers and judges alike, as they bring their unique skills to the stage.

Guiding the fate of these talented performers are a panel of esteemed judges including Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall, along with host Lindsay Ell.

With their expertise, they will play a crucial role in determining who will ultimately walk away with the title and the biggest cash prize in Canadian television history.

But the journey to the finale won’t be without its twists and turns.

Along the way, contestants will vie for additional $25,000 prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement and incentive to each performance.

Fans of the show can catch all the action weekly until May 14th, culminating in a thrilling two-hour finale from the prestigious Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
