Wrestling is more popular than ever on Vancouver Island as 365 Pro Wrestling says they have been making strides to keep it fun and family-friendly.

There is a wrestling school in Campbell River where anyone can learn how to fight like a pro and develop an entertaining character and storyline, the bring that to the ring all over Vancouver Island with monthly events in Victoria.

On Saturday, March 16th, 365 Pro Wrestling is hosting their monthly match at the White Eagle Polish Hall in James Bay, and then on April 5th, they are hosting a special event, Wrestle Craze at the First Met Fellowship Hall on Balmoral Street.

Victoria Buzz spoke with 365 Pro Wrestling’s Lead Commentator on Vancouver Island, Ramone Carlton, who also manages pro wrestler,  Lak Siddartha.

“Basically the White Eagle Polish Hall is our home base on the west coast,” Carlton explained.

“We’ve been running shows out of there since the early days of 2021, somewhere in there when it was safe to do so.”

He says the White Eagle Polish Hall events are more intimate in nature because its standing room only and the size of the venue limit the matches’ overall capacity.

“We’ve been at capacity and had sell-outs for two years straight, every show,” Carlton told Victoria Buzz.

“The wrestling community there is very animated, they’re very interactive.”

Carlton said that the April event, Wrestle Craze is more of a big show for the wrestlers and their fans.

“It’s more of a traditional large-scale wrestling show with room for 500 people, a whole proper aisle,” he said.

“It’s more of a smaller version of a full-on Federation fight in there.”

“Usually at White Eagle, we’ll have somewhere between five to eight matches a night, each has two wrestlers and sometimes we’ll have tag teams,” Carleton explained.

Some of these wrestlers will be defending their championship belts they have been working so hard at acquiring and there is sure to be some entertaining matches with such a long roster of talented fighters.

At the White Eagle Polish Hall, the men and women wrestling will be:

  • 365 Pro Wrestling Champion Devon Shooter
  • Combat Champion Legacy
  • Tagteam Champion Sawyer Stein
  • Tagteam Champion Eddie Osbourne
  • “Born Sinner” Judas Icarus
  • Maxwell Benson w/ Nolan James
  • Travis Williams
  • Josh Cadwell
  • Haviko
  • Inferno
  • Rad Dad
  • Lak Siddartha w/ Ramone Carlton
  • Damien Caines w/ Sadie
  • Becky Beech

Tickets cost between $15 and $30 for this event and the venue is fully accessible for wrestling fans of all ages.

Because this show is so popular and is likely to sell out, Carlton says it’s best to get tickets earlier rather than later. Tickets can be bought online in advance.

Wrestle Craze at the First Met Fellowship Hall

“For the Metropolitan shows, our last roster was 28 wrestlers and this one will be around the same size,” Carlton said.

At the First Met Fellowship Hall, the men and women wrestling hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet, but will likely depend on who prevails in the White Eagle Polish Hall event and some others throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands leading up to it.

“We do know that there will be a last man standing match between the infamous Nathan Legacy who is on this amazing comeback here after being out for a life-threatening injury,” Carlton told Victoria Buzz.

“He was the 365 Combat Champion and he’ll be going up against the king of suplex, Brett Matthews from the Lower Mainland.”

Carlton and 365 Pro Wrestling’s Media Liaison, Mike Croy say that this is one of the bigger and more exciting events of the year and everybody, the wrestlers and audience always make it a memorable show.

For this one, tickets range between $20 and $50, depending on age and proximity to the stage.

Croy and Carlton say that aside from the wrestlers, who are paid the proceeds of the matches, everyone involved in 365 Pro Wrestling does what they do for the community, the love of the craft and to help the wrestlers in their journey.

Ticket sales go toward paying for the venues acquiring the refreshments they need and getting the wrestlers paid.

For those unable to attend these two events in-person, Carlton does commentary for every fight which are uploaded to 365 Pro Wrestling’s YouTube Channel!
